You Are Seen, You Are Heard, You Are of Value

Feeling left out.

Hidden in plain sight.

It’s something I’ve carried with me from a young age.

I thought I could “nice” my way through it.

I thought I could “earn” my way through it.

I thought I could “busy” my way through it.

I thought I could ignore it and just keep brushing it off, or shoving it down deep.

Turns out... you can’t really do any of those things... not successfully anyway.

I wish I could say that it just went away.

I wish I could say I did this one magic thing to completely move past it.

I wish I could say today, I don’t have any difficulty whatsoever in this area anymore...

But’s taken a lot of work.

A lot of learning myself.

A lot of Bible reading.

A lot of prayer.

A lot of healthy support.

A lot of consistency and healthy routine.

Because truth is... life can be exactly the way you want it to be... but if deep down you don’t know your worth and your identity.... you’ll never be able to see that.

You’ll never feel rooted.

You’ll always negatively take to heart the small actions of others and feel shaken by the tiniest of storms.

But when you can focus your eyes on Jesus, even on your worst days... that pain may be there... but the hope is greater.

The faith is bigger.

He is bigger.

His love for you is greater. & no matter what the world does, when you lay your head down you can always always always rest in that.

Even when you are struggling to get your feelings to line know...

You are seen.

You are heard.

You are of value.

By: Hannah Dearth My brain always attaches grief to death, but I am learning the heartache of grief in loss. In change. In unforeseen circumstances. Unmet expectations. This grief is just as real, and
