What Would Jesus Do?

by: Hannah Dearth

It can feel overwhelming to keep up to date with what is happening around us- like the hate is too heavy and the hurt is too big. There is so much judgement and self-seeking. Each update on the news feels like pain and heartache some days.

I am not without my downfalls and mistakes...but I crave and seek something bigger to heal my broken ways. I have so many questions, except I know that I don’t have to have all of the answers. I thank my God that I don’t need them, that I don’t need to always swim in that on my own...constantly fighting to come up for air...I would surely drown.

He shows NO favoritism, no one person is more important than another. He gives each of us a guide. A life vest. And He gives us hope. He gives us each other. We are bigger with Him. And one another.

WWJD? What would Jesus do today?

He would love first.

No solving needs to happen today. No fixing. No hiding. Just love. Giving with love, speaking with love, and living as a vessel of love.

Love first.
